Senior Software Engineer

At intoDNA we have developed STRIDE, the first platform technology for direct detection of DNA damage. It has been successfully used by leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies and renowned academic groups to accelerate their drug development efforts.
We are now looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. We’re a small team of IT enthusiasts with versatile experience – from recent grads to IT dinosaurs, with degrees in Computer Science and Biotechnology, with past experience in companies of various sizes – from startups to enterprises. We are not here by accident – we’re focused on the impact we can make. Both, directly by making our Science teams more efficient, and indirectly by allowing STRIDE technology to be used by a growing number of customers and drug developments.
Your job, like ours, would be versatile. Even though we have our domains of expertise, we’re all performing varying tasks e.g. integrating our on-premise systems, governing our cloud infrastructure in AWS, maintaining continuous integration tools, extending our analysis platform and image analysis algorithms, and so on. The chances to get bored are close to none. Do not hesitate to reach out if it sounds interesting!
Responsibilities
- Developing algorithms in the field of microscopy image analysis
- Designing and building our data analysis platform on top of AWS services
- Developing frontend and backend components of our data analysis system
- Introducing and following software engineering best practices
- Ownership and support for production applications used by our Science teams
- … or any other task in the IT space that makes a difference.

Essential

- Readiness to work on a wide range of tasks and technical challenges, even outside of your domain of expertise
- Willingness to learn our domain - the biology behind DNA breaks, the challenges of microscopy imaging, or scientific publications on image analysis.
- All-round software development (frontend and backend)
- Fluency in Python
- Software engineering experience across the entire software development and delivery lifecycle
Essential

- Experience with machine learning in image processing
