At intoDNA, we develop STRIDE, the first platform technology for direct detection of DNA damage. It has been successfully used by leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies and renowned academic groups to accelerate their drug development efforts.

Now we are looking to hire an ambitious Scientist to support our research activities.

Your job will be to lead research projects in our labs, taking responsibility for planning and executing experiments. Besides cell cultures, developing and performing cellular assays, IF and IHC staining, you will be also responsible for optimizing lab protocols, data analysis, and interpreting biological results.

This is a dynamic role at an early-stage company, where you will have a real impact and play a role in shaping the future!

Responsibilities

  • Planning, leading, and executing laboratory protocol studies, including cell culture, cellular assays, IF and IHC staining
  • Data analysis, result interpretation, summary, and communication
  • Literature review to expand knowledge about current projects and communicate insights to the team
  • General support within the laboratory including supplies preparation
  • Mentoring junior team members and identifying development opportunities
  • New method development and validation

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in leading Life Science projects
  • Previous work experience in research environment and industry (internships will also be considered), including independent experimental work
  • MSc or equivalent in a Life Science discipline
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell/tissue-based assays
  • Analytical approach, literature search skills and ability to present scientific data to a broader audience
  • Ability to work effectively with others and independently
  • Strong organisational, effective interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills, including good command of English

Nice to have

  • Experience in oncology, DNA damage response, radiopharmaceuticals, neurodegenerative diseases, or longevity research
  • PhD in a Life Science discipline
  • Experience with sample preparation, microscopy imaging and image analysis
  • Experience in handling and processing human-derived clinical samples
