At intoDNA, we develop STRIDE, the first platform technology for direct detection of DNA damage. It has been successfully used by leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies and renowned academic groups to accelerate their drug development efforts.

We are looking to hire a talented Junior Scientist to support our laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • General support within the laboratory and preparation of laboratory supplies
  • End-to-end responsibility for mammalian cell culture, including media and buffer preparation
  • Performance of laboratory protocol studies, including cellular assays, IF and IHC staining
  • Data analysis, result interpretation and communication of results to relevant team members
  • Contribute to the development and validation of new methods
  • Function effectively as a core team member on multiple concurrent projects
  • Willingness to work outside the normal scope of the role if required

Requirements

Essential

  • MSc in a Life Science discipline
  • Previous lab experience in basic molecular lab techniques, cell and/or tissue-based assays, and mammalian cell culture
  • High standards of experimental work, analytical skills, publication search and comprehension, systematic problem-solving ability, and a strong work ethic
  • Strong organisational and effective interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills, including good command of English, and willingness to grow
  • Excited to join a fast-growing and ambitious company and would proactively learn and adopt new experimental techniques

Nice to have

  • Work experience in a research environment or an industrial setting
  • Experience with sample preparation, microscopy imaging (widefield or confocal) and microscopy image analysis
